anyone know how to use a burned copy of the gameshark cdx? I can pick the codes i want to use but they never work when i switch in the game. do i need i gameshark memory card? or is there a way to format a regular vmu to a gameshark one?

i dont think the card has anything to do with it just to store new codes so i dont know what the problem is

Its not that you need the actual Gameshark Memory card, you just need A MEMORY CARD. Make sure you have a 2nd Memory card you can use to store your codes and the Gameshark will believe that the regular Memory Card is its own. I have a downloaded version and I use a memory card, it works perfect..

well yea a lot of the game sharks don't come witha a memory card the reason is that you can use your own
i have two memory cards and i'll pick a game turn the codes on and select play game with codes...do the codes save automatically on the second card? also i'm using backups of games is that a problem?
probably your copy of the disc or its just that it isnt compatible with your dreamcast..... my friend bought a gs for his dreamcast and it didnt work because of the version of his dreamcastQuote:
