although that's nothing compared to how long you have had to (and will have to) wait
this is what it says on the pipex site for my order status:
"BT have confirmed to us that your line should be enabled for ADSL during 10/09/2003. A precise installation time during the day cannot be guaranteed but work will normally be completed by the end of the business day."
should i be using the connection or not?
more to the point, should i be using the connection for downloading 'stuff'?
well I spose my 17 bucks a month for 5 gig is still good atm
rather then paying 100 bucks for 512 with 1 gig cap
They might charge you an extra 75p for using it a day early.
No, seriously, it is BT who turn it on, it is BT who are using a little bit extra electricity, and it is BT who are losing out on a day's traffic at wholesale rates, so I don't think Pipex are going to mind, and I doubt if BT will even know.
it works out at £23.44 per month for a 512k 'unmetered' service for meQuote:

the newsgroup support is supposed to be excellent for Pipex too, i found this page, which tells you all the newsgroup posts for last 24 hours
i think to play it safe i'll just surf and dl shareware just nowQuote:
