im not sure wether or not this is in the right section or not but it is mostly about windows so i think it is ;)
ok i have 2 hard drives
my 6Gb C:\ Hard drive with music on and my 40Gb D:\ with Win Xp installed
win xp boots up fine when the C:\ drive is connected but when i disconect it to give my music to a friend it doesnt boot up it says something like
"Ntldir is missing"
i was wondering if any of you intelligent people knew how i could make windows boot up properly with and without the C:\ drive without reinstalling windows.
i hope this is enough information but if not i will provide you with some more if needed.
Thanks

yeah, you can't remove the drive with the bootloader on it. you need the bootloader/bootchoice menu to switch active drives. If you don't like the NT bootloader for god only knows what reason, then get bootmagic and install them hidden.
