Help with red alert 3 please!!!

Hi me and my brother have both installed ra3 and trying to play lan games. My bro is on his laptop and im on my desktop. However in the local lobby, he can see me but i cant see him. If i crate a game, he can see it, but if he joins he gets the message: connection times out.

Just wondering what is wrong and is there anyway i can fix it

yea used hamachi and things are working great now.
