Well i am planning on getting a server.lu and wondering if anyone wants to share and pick up part of the bill. Planning on doing a 4 way share(me, a friend and one or two ppl from here)
Each person would get ~70gb of space and unlimited everything else on a utorrent web ui for ~$20
if it runs win2k8, properly configured, with such as tcpip patches, indexing services, hd monitoring , etc...
I don't believe they offer any Windows installs, atleast not according to the OS choices on their site.
I might be interested. I'm in the USA and a major concern is FTP speed.
Yeah windows is super expensive (i think 100 setup and 30 month) so will be sticking with linux

Server Virtualization is possible in linux too . there is OpenVZ
Either I'm missing something or you made an epic typo; reckon you meant Hyper-V (for Windows). And to be honest; that isn't even necessary for multi-user environments although multi-user RDP-access will make a server much more expensive due to licensing.Quote:
