Games for windows?

So I bought GTA IV, and was wondering will i be able to use the game for windows key on any game which has the "Games for windows" Logo?

I hate games for windows, xfire is so much better. I don't understand your question or I'd try to help.

I don't think that would work, since the key should only work for GTA IV. Games for Windows is just a grouping to showcase games optimized for a windows environment. Hope that sort of helps :)

Your question is pertinent and I do think that you can use your key with any "games for windows" game but once you use it, its activated for that game only.

I remember a little time ago getting some keys from a Microsoft Game website and I could "activate" some games with those...

Most game keys will only work with the disk they came with. To answer your question, no keys/serials are not interchangeable.

GFWL keys are used for the multiplayer portion of the game. GFWL keysd will work for any GFWL game, but only for activating the online portion. There's another key in order to install the game and access the single player.

Your cd-key will work when playing online for example street fighter 4.Most ppl here buy the game "The Club" to be able to play street fighter 4 online because The Club is a lot cheaper.
