What you have, or what you are downloading at the time. Certain ones let you select a folder to share. Like Bitspirt, i love this client. (is like flashget)

While using Bittorrent you basically upload whatever your downloading.
That is how new files are able to spread so fast as people can upload a file from one another before the file is completed its download.
For those of you who dont know how bittorrent works or is able to achieve these speeds.It takes a file and breaks it up into peices,and as each peer downloads they can also upload the peices they have downloaded to others peers.
Usually bittorrent works on a tit for tat basis, meaning most can only download as fast as they let others upload from them.At one point or another.
Once the whole file has completed download the peer/person becomes a seed.
Distributed copies roughly translates into peices of the film one is conected on a percentage base ,before it becomes a seed.
Never heard of Bitspirt. Where to get it and read info over it???Quote:

Never mind. I googled Bitspirt: nothing. I googled Bitpsrit: nothing. I googled Bitspirit and yes a BitTorrent client. Info and downloading at http://www.lanspirit.com/

@Agent Smith: You're right. BitSpirit is a nice looking, good working (although Beta) BitTorrent client. Looks indeed like a donwnloadmanager although even on adsl I don't get nice speeds but maybe it'll come, cause downloading commando's3 and its 1850 Mb.
