While you're just beginning. Get a secure email client. Like Eudora or The Bat! OE is very insecure.
i have hotmail account, i dont think it need pop3 its http, isnt?

When you were configuring for it make sure incoming mail server is "HTTP" and HTTP mail service provider is "hotmail." All you need is your username and password.
Even after that it doest work, try posting a screenshot maybe that might help! Although unkown error doesnt solve many mysteries ;) but still might be of help.

what are you talking about? Hotmail emails can be downloaded to outlook express!
