Webcam With Router?

I am going to be buying a web cam, but I have a router, will this affect it, I want to use MSN to broadcast, not a http://ip line.

if u mean msn messenger, then i have got my webcam working throught my linksys router. and been abe to recive someone elses webcam. not sure about sound though

I've had no problems with my webcam & router either.
If you can send/recieve files, etc. with no problem on Mess already, the appropriate ports should be open.

Yeah, MSN and everything is ok, just wondered about a cam, ok, ill buy it now, sems it will be ok. :)
