Without having to buy new hardware, or even opening the case, is their any software that I can install that would (somehow) make my PC quieter? Thanks.

I'm thinking about replace my fans by huges pieces of copper I would have cut my self.
I just don't know where to get the copper.
some hard drives come with bootable disks where you can adjust settings on noise levels.
Check your manufacturer's website.
i find this and some techno helps make my machine seem quieterQuote:

Most software would just slow things down or stop things which could effect performance! If your really wanting a diffrence then upgrading fans etc (or even replacing fans with heat distributers as sugested) would by the best way. Although I cant really say anything about software for quieting hardware cause i havent tried it!
If the HARDWARE is noisey, then you cant make it quieter. Clean it, Buy a new one. :D
Hey what about my huges pieces of copper.
What do you guys think? Is it risky in any way?
