Hello, i want to make a vcd using a file that is currently in .WMV format, Nero 6 ultra edition will not let me, is there any program that i can use to convert the .WMV to an avi or mpeg so i can burn it onto a vcd??

When running XP, you can use Microsoft Movie Maker version 2.
Use TMPGenc! When selecting the WMV, you will need to browse for ALL (*.*) files. For some reason, they do not list WMV files, but it will work.
yep I second tmpgenc for all your converting needs, if you can't figer it out, grab a guide at dvdrhelp.com
TIP: When using TMPGenc, remember to look for the settings! Some WMV files are "wide screen" or not standard sized (640x480). You'll need to "keep aspect Ratio", otherwise your final output might result in a crunched up image.
Also use the "BEST setting (but slower)".
As far as I know Movie Maker will only create .wmv files, not .avi or .mpg. I use EOvideo or TMPGenc to convert to those formats.Quote:
