yeah, that must be the reason.
Can't seem to find any examples now after the BT review section revamp, but I recall quite a few times (especially on higher "level" sites) that in the old WTO thread many of the reviews it linked to were rendered useless due to the original posters essentially editing out everything, text, images, etc, whether it be due to fear of being caught, a change of heart, whatever other manner of reasons. It resulted in quite a few dead links and a very sloppy look overall.
My guess would be that RealitY wanted to prevent that from occurring again by removing the user's ability to do so :idunno:
