Movie Problem

I just downloaded a couple of movies and when i go to play them in like windows media player or something the audio isnt "in sync" with the video. Am i doing something wrong because when i try to play it in AVI preview it works fine but it only lets me watch 30 min of the video&#33;?&#33;?&#33;?&#33; <_<
