Flag Discretion?

im trying to find something out for my civis and economics class. i need to know is flag discretion legal? is it legal to burn the American flag?

i dont think so lol....i think u have to eat it if u wana get rid of it

It's certainly not illegal to burn an American flag, as that is the method used to retire old flags.
Though if done in vain it's not looked well upon by law enforcment, and is sort of viewed as anti-American activist behavior...

Though some people are trying to amend the constitution to state that this is illegal.

Thats the only thing i can think of when people burn the flags of countries.
