Is there still a good version of Ares for Windows 7 ?

Hi Guys

Been away for a while.

I used to use Ares, and now have Windows 7

I have been looking for a good version of Ares.

There seem to be quite a few which have been taken over by Free and paid versions

Is there still a good basic version of Ares around ?

And if so where can I get it ?

There's only one version of "Ares" - the official one, which you can find here:

Paid, "gold", "plus" versions are a scam!

If you have issues with 2.x.x and Windows 7, try 1.9.9, which you can find here.

Got it now, and working all OK.

Glad to hear that. 1.9.9 doesn't have the connectivity fix (introduced in one of the recent versions), so if it ever takes a lot to connect, which used to happen back in the day, just tell me and I'll pass you a supernode list.
