Ir Remote Control

i have just been given a Packard Bell remote control. I really wanna use it to control my MP3 collection in media player 9 , however i cant get it to work.

any help would be appreciated

You can get a plugin to use winamp with the remote.

Its better to use winamp anyways because WMP is a resource hog.
