Chrome versions are moving at the speed of sound, Firefox versions are moving at the speed of light :w00t:
Yeah, Chrome is the shit. I just wish the devs would get off their asses do something with the bookmarks situation. They need to put an icon next to the wrench(or a something similar to this) to where you can access your bookmarks easily. Instead of to constantly having the bookmarks bar on, having to open a new tab, or installing an extension to put a bookmarks icon on the top bar.
That's really my only gripe with this browser. And it's a really small one since it's not a huge deal to open a new tab to get access to your bookmarks.
tried chrome out again and i'd have to say it's a lot better than it was during version 1. having said that i still prefer firefox just for the sole reason that adblock works so much better on ff than in chrome. i also prefer no script to flash block too. chrome had aother quarky things i didn't care for either, but a decent browser nonetheless.
Ya can get the addon/extension that adds a bookmark button to chrome but the fact you have to do that is very annoying and that's why I stick with FF myself
Well the devs go for that whole minimalistic approach to the gui. Which I totally dig, but there really needs to be a bookmark icon on that bar. But since they do go for this approach, I personally don't ever seeing them putting another icon on that bar.
As for adblock, I've seen people post the samething you have, but the adblock that's on Chrome is the same that's on FF, so it should function the same. I don't know, I haven't used FF in so long that I really don't remember much about it, but I do know that currently adblock that I'm using is blocking everything that I want it to. No unwanted ads are popping up anywhere. I've been really pleased with it.
Still my major gripe with Chrome, the ability to drag text into another tab. For example, if you have text in tab A, and you want to drag it into a field in tab B, you must do copy-->paste. In Firefox, I can drag it, and it'll switch to tab B when I hover over it, but Chrome doesn't do anything when you hover over a tab.
You might emphasize the fact that I can copy/paste and my complaint is moot, but to address that, sometimes I have something in my clipboard that I don't want to replace yet.
That's because that feature if for searching text by dragging it into another tab - instead of right clicking and "Search Google for ...".
I assume this feature is for the Mac fans who don't like click mouse and would rather drag/drop ;).
I hate hate HATE the stupid "download" bar that appears when you download a file. There should be an option to download quietly or something. Maybe there is? Never found it, though.
