It appears that if you try and search for a "_____________ + torrent" it is censored on yahoo's autocomplete as well, so I'm not sure where you're going at with this....

What surprises me is that people are surprised by this. Google has an extensive history of slow but ever increasing encroachment on being evil. Just think about it--it makes it's money from collecting [mostly] freely available information and leveraging it--controlling who gets to see what when is fundamental to that. And, incidentally, they're not unique in doing so--all search engines are the same--Google is just the most successful.
