The redneck accent, similar to some southern rural accents, are everywhere. However, since it's in Cambridge, that would imply you must familiarize yourself with the Boston accent. Additionally, since it's MIT, you would also expect to here English spoken with a variety of foreign accents. Thirdly, sorry you didn't get the job :(

Although admittedly sitting on the sidelines on this one, the possibilities are amusing. Skiz might be able to help you out with pronounciation/slang and general pointers on how to act slow southern :blink:

No it didn't, it contained a direct dig at you. Upon reflection I couldn't convince myself that you were a worse scientist than MBM though, so I broadened the post to reflect that. You can squabble between yourselves for the title of "Boards worst scientist".
