Pretty much any of these shows are so contrived and obviously scripted (not to mention multiple takes to get scenes just right) with the focus increasing on making celebrities of not very attractive, interesting or likable people that any possible pleasure is taken away.
Same applies to Pawn Stars but I give it a grudging pass since occasionally they have object of real interest on there.
