The only answer I know, and I'm being serious for one of the few times in my life, is to not have an account at all.
Perhaps steal someone else's account? What's the point otherwise, a ghost account with no friends?
Doesn't it raid your email contacts? Does it root out anything else? Seriously, it was connecting me to daughters of fellow grad students I barely knew. Creepy and invasive. Surely not unlike a guys night out with Idol. :no:
Tracking cookies and beacons are a bitch. Since (I believe) you use Chrome, you can install Ghostery or just browse Facebook in incognito mode. This "like" crap is all over the Internet now. Even if you don't have an account, they record and use this data to make targeted suggestions should you create one.
Personally, I'd be highly inclined to second DngrMs here. I for one have blocked all of the site's known URLs and added their IPs to my blacklist.
