and how should i do the jumpers...the settings on the cd-rw is Master/Slave/Cable Select
-
Are those 80wire cables? If so then put the jumper at cable select and plug the cdrw to the end connector for it to automatically detect it as 'Master'.
If it's 40wire cable then set the jumper to Master and connect it to either connector.
-
From the pics, it looks like you have two Hdds, and just the cd-rw drive.
Is that correct?
for the cd-rw drive, hook it to the cd-r as master. You could also set it as cable select, but master is what I'd set it as.
-
ive tried option 1 and 2 with jumper on Cable Select and option 1 only works
-
any1?? id like to put my pc back together soon lol
-
Mate it shouldnt realy matter where on the cable it goes.Just plug it in and set the jumper to master if its the only device on the ide channel.Other than that..you could tri clearing the cmos
-
i tried cearly the cmos but that didnt work either!
-
Just mix your devices up then mate and hopfully you'll find a comb that works.
-
i tried that, but i read on the board that if u put a hdd and cd-rw on the same cable it slows the hdd down
-
Try replacing that cable. Get one that's 80 conductors.
