i want to try and boot into my old hard drive but need to run a windows setup to make it bootable. it was windows me but i want to install xp on it. is all that's involved copying the unrared after downloaded os to disc?

I think you need an auto.ini file that tells it what to run.

if u get an iso or bin, you burn with that image
2 make it bootable, just insert the CD and set BIOS 2 boot from CD
