start, programs, edexter, uninstall.
it is obvious that you would have to reinstall klite if you installed it- they use the same registry keys!
Edit: also the hosts file will be blocking adverts on websites
That's my problem too, until now edexter exists in my browser. I posted this before but it seems no one can give the remedy.
my only sujestion is to check in startup to make sure edexter isnt there and also in your list of processes
..
It's in C:\windows :DQuote:

Wheres the hosts file? Cant seem to find that.
that would be pointless, as it wouldnt be a uninstaller if you didnt remove the reg keys, you could have just deleted the files in the install directory, if you didnt want to uninstall it.Quote:

Regarding the reg keys, there should be an option to leave keys in if ur going to remove the prog.
HOSTS:
x:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (win xp/2k)
btw, do not delete this file, remove all entries excpet 127.0.0.1 localhost, unless you will screw up your pc, dont ask me where it is on win 98
Locations for the HOSTS File
Linux
/etc
Windows 95/98/Me
c:\windows\
Windows NT/2000/XP
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\
c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\
You shouldn't get rid of it, in my opinion. It is so much more effective than a pop-up blocker if used properly.
