I'm a bit new to the DVD format, question I have is: Will DVD's play in a conventional CD player (Obviously, just to hear the soundtrack )?
I've tried one in my CDROM on my PC, but I get nothing. I don't have another cd player @ home to try it on.
Any advice?

unless you manage to get the .vob files into your comp some other way - then you can play them if you have dvd prog.
Or convert
you need a dvd player to Xtract files
