It was with great sadness that I learned this morning of the death of Bob Monkhouse. :( He has been one of our greatest comedians over the last many years. His rapid instant response wit was probably only exceeded by that of Spike Milligan. It has been a sad year for comedy. I am sure Bob would not mind me saying that with all this turkey left over, his departure was timely.

Personally, I don't think there's intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different from this one?

I thought his shows weren't that good but when he wasn't on a script on something like "Have I Got News For You" he was hilarious.

He scripted a lot more than people give him credit for I think.
