I was reading my CD Burner's user manual, because it is burning really slow, and it says to make sure the Hard Drive's Thermal Calibration is disabled. Any ideas as to what it is, and how to disable it if it is on?

im not sure what the thermal calibration is but maybe your burning speeds are slow because your cd-rs arent compatible with your burner or maybe theyre scratched or it could be something as simple as turning on dma mode for your ide channels in device manager...but maybe someone else can tell you what that thermal calibration thing is.
How slow is slow?
about 10 minutes writing 15 songs at 40x, and the cds can take 48x
What burning software are you using?
I'm using Nero. The DMA was changed to off, and I turned it on and now it's faster. I just burned a CD, and it works in my CD Player, but when I put it in the drive, it says there is nothing on the cd. What could cause that?
OK, nevermind, I just restarted my computer and everything works, weird, thanks
