I have a amd athlon 1000mhz and I want to overclock it a little to get the little extra boost and I was wondering if it would be ok to over clock it to around 1200mhz and still be stable and not to hott. Right now my motherboard temp is 71.4 degress ferinheit and my processor is 98.8 degress farenheit?

Those temps arent bad...I dont know if you will see alot of diff...but just overclock slowley and check your temps

Ok im going to do what this website syays to do (connect to things on the processor with led) then itll give me the option to over clock. Now when I over clock a little at a time do I have to change the multiplier and voltage of the processor?
-
what are you talking about...what kind of cpu do you have? You dont have to connect the things to overclock...unless you have shitty ram

I have tha Amd Athlon 1000mhz. Im trying to figure out what im looking for in the bios that lets me overclock. And when you over clock will your system properties tell you that your running at a higher speed?
-
The only thing I found close to a multiplier is it said in my bios Cpu Clock Ratio and I could change it to 10/x 10.1/x so on? Am I looking at the right thing to overclock?

try using google. Whatever your motherboard is put its name into the engine. Also when your system is booting, take note of what is listed on your screen. It should say something like ...BIOS...etc.
Write that down and put whatever you see into google, and, what the hell, why not put the word "overclock" in there for fun? B)

Thats ur multiplier...you cant just raise that though..if you raise that you have to lower your front side bus. You need to find a function that allows you to change your front side bus.

Hmm how would I find out how. I think I saw something about connecting to things on the processor with led then it would open up the option. But im not sure. Any help.
