When using Internet Explorer, if I try to download any files from the internet I can only download two files simultaneously. Is there any way to increase this number?

Copy everything in bold writing to notepad and save it as "IEMaxConnections.reg" or something similar(JUST MAKE SURE ITS GOT THE .REG EXTENSION).Then double click and it adds the reg entries to ya registry.May need to reboot afterwards
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
"MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000020
"MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:00000020
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
"MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000020
"MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:00000020
That changes it to a max of twenty, right?
Enjoy :)
Beautiful. Didn't even need to reboot, just had to restart IE. Thanks :)
I know this isn't really any of my business but......why on earth would you want to change it???
Cause Internet Explorer is gay and only lets you download 2 files at once by default....Thats ok if your on dial-up, but for big cable connections,T1,T3 etc, its a bit of a bitch
That is correct, although I use a download manager for those matters, not to mention it's faster :)Quote:

Is there any reason to limit it to 20? Why not make it 50 or 1000? Will there be any negative consequences if you go to high?
Don't use IE then.Quote:
