I switched to Mozilla Firebird, after getting fed up with IE's security holes. But I'm having some problems with Firebird. Many times, on some random web page, i get "connection refused by blah blah blah". It happens on almost every webpage I visit, and its soooo annoying! :angry:
I have Firebird 0.7 and Win XP SP1.

Sounds like a Firewall issue.
Well mozilla or mozilla firebird typically wont give you an error like that unless its a connection issue on your end. You might want to check and make sure your not using a proxy that is misconfigured.Quote:

im not using a proxy, and the only firewall I have is the built in one, can I disable it or something?
Edit, and the firewall isn't even on! :blink:
hmm, IE works fine, maybe my proxy settings are different in firebird, how can I find my proxy settings in IE?
