I don't think you can make instrumental versions of songs... I'm probably wrong, but hey... what do I know?
although im not tottally sure what im talking about, but i'm sure theres away because one time i hooked up my stereo, and the only thing i heard was the background music.
simple answer you cant.
long answer: what you can do is remove the frequency range that the human voice noramlly belongs in. cant be arsed to look up the frequency but its about 1000 - 2000 mhz. this will remove most of it but there will always be a bit left over. and your mp3 now has bass and treble but a bit of the mid range missing so it may sound odd.
there is a plugin for winamp to do this search the site for it.
I always like to think that nothing is impossible, so thank you, i will search and lets hope everything goes right, is just that there is a song that i like but the lyrics are kind of odd so i thought, Lets remove that, the guys at the forum will now how B)Quote:

i tried the plugin...u can listen to a song on winamp w/o the lyrics, but u can still here them a bit in the background. Also u can't seem to save the song w/o lyrics...
Basically, the plugin for Winamp that supposedly removes lyrics doesnt work well at all; you'll still hear the words.
I think there isnt a program that totally removes lyrics yet...as another poster suggested, maybe you should try downloading instrumentals or something.
Have you tried looking on soulseek for an instrumental version of the track? What track is it?
The lyrics aren't a separate layer from the audio, so there's absolutely no way you can neatly remove all of the voices and still leave all of the audio. Unless, of course, the song contains no audio in the same frequency of the vocals.
