How Can You Make Sure That You Have

A couple of weeks ago I got halo and I put in the sc I had and it let me play it fine offline but then when I went to play online it kicked me off and said invalid serial code, is their a way to prevent this?

get a shrinkwrapped one so you know somebody hasnt nicked your serial number

Is shrink wrapped the box with wrapping on it? none of my local stores do that anymore??? i usually just get a box and thats it. What about if you buy a game in a really small store like i mean like 100 square foot store?

you can play games on your pc? im looking at the stats on ur signature and it seems that that system can't handle many games...anyways the point is, get it shrink wrapped or a box that looks like its never been tampered with, some companies put the cd-key inside the cd case now

Does it really? If you really expected anything else you're sadly mistaken. There is a reason why companies have introduced serial numbers / keys for games to access online play. Listen to bkdvnyc's first answer and buy the game.
