I have downloaded some children's videos that will play on my PC but I can't burn them to a DVD that my DVD player will read. Same thing with regular movies. I downloaded Divx and I can get the video with the sound but i still can't burn any movies that my DVD player will recognize. What do I need to do?

how are you burning them
are they mpeg or avi, you need to convert avi's to mpeg

How do I do that? Change the file extension or do I need some kind of software? Thanks for your help.
