I went for my 20 wk scan on Tuesday, the Dr. done a few scans and told me my baby is only measuring at 18 wks. I was sent a head Dr. to have a chat with me. I arranged to go back on Friday for more scans.
On Friday, a Dr. re-scan me in every position possible and told me some worrying things. My baby is lying very low, so low in fact I was believed to be starting labour. Because of this, it was impossible to get a good scan. Also now being 21 wks, the babe still hasn't grown.
So tomorrow, Im travelling to a special unit miles away where they will scan me again, and possibly give me an amniocentesis, which is basically an injection into the womb to collect some matter. This carries a chance of a mis-carriage, and is odd this late on in a pregnancy. The results of this test will tell me if it is going to have any defects, like Downs Syndrome or Spina Bifida. If this test comes back positive, I will then need to decide whether to terminate or not.

And tanks, y'all. Im hoping it will be o.k, but everythings a bit grim at the moment.
The Dr's were talking to me as if they had never seen anything like this before, which scared the crap outta me. Plus, if they can't get a good scan.....it means an internal!!!!
