I d\l this program called autoruns that lets u delete all the programs that u dont need that start up automaticly. i deleted something by accident and now whenever i connect 2 the internet i dont have that little icon with the 2 computers and ya i tried going 2 properties and unchecking nad checking show the icon. any1 know how to fix this?
Was the program XCleaner?
Run -> msconfig -> startup , then try to find whatever you disabled.
I'd try system restore , but then that's my solution for everything ;)
lol fred. no the program was called autoruns
'control panel' - 'network connections', right click your connection type, 'properties' and there should be an option at the bottom "show icon in notification area when connected", check that and the icon should be in your taskbar

For me when XCleaner free (pos imo) did the same. I just did a sys restore.
