In the past I've been able to download audio files fine on Kazaa Lite, with hardly any downloads getting errors or being corrupt files.
But, for some reason, almost every song I now try to download doesn't work?!
I don't recall changing any of my settings, and it's not as if I'm not downloading popular songs, so anyone any idea why I can no longer get quality files?

Well, it might be tough luck, them files are just corrupted.
Do you get any audio files at all?
If not, UnInstall frist and then reInstall the app, that might help.
I dont know sure as i dont use K-Lite that much anymore.
The other tip I can give is:
Look for better kilobytes in the files, dont DL the 128k, go for 192 atleast.
And, you could also look into searchfields, use artist or album names, not just Song Titles, you might find better quality files.
And last, but not least , we also have users here in MusicWorld that
uses a lot SouSeek and other apps to get their Music.
Trust me, you're not the first one with these problems.

They either screech after a few seconds, or they just stop playing halfway through a song.
those are corrupt songs boss put in by the riaa.

please go here and try klr2.5.0 its an updated version of klite with mp3 checker and mp3 shield and updated ipblocker.
those will aid you in getting less of those crapy song
or you can try the updater pack for klite2.4.3 or even try the now k-lite2.6rc20b
other then advise you to update i can't realy tell you anything else :lol:
