hard drive 1 is 38C
hard drive 2 is 38C
CPU is at 52C
heatsink isnt eaven hot. (and my pc has been on for ages i never turn it off un less i need to restart it cos i installed a program.
ist a amd 2800+ (2.08ghz)
if the heatsink isnt hot could that mean a problem with the thermal paste?
does it also say that temp in your bios? it may not be an accurate reading... or it could be the right reading and you may not have proper contact between the heatsync and cpu.
last time i looked was about 2 days ago in bios thing and it was 50-57.(watched it for 2 min)Quote:

i tuched the hard drive and the heat sink and the hard drive is hotter then the heat sink :(
The heat isn't being transfered from the CPU to the heatsink very well.
Make sure the heatsink is installed correctly and use a small amount of thermal paste such as Arctic silver.
Also I would like to point out that the title says 70°C yet you then say it's at 52°C. So which is it?
i think he means it was 70 with his case closed then he opened his case and window and things started to cool down :)
it was 70 then i opened the window and the case to try and cool it down then it went to 54 and 55 but i dont know how long it was at 70 for :unsure:Quote:
