Hi......I downloaded a movie and it seems to be an unsupported format for Windows Media Player. I believe it to be an .asf file and I downloaded the K-lite Codec Pack but that hasn't helped. The downloaded movie file is over 300,000kb but all I can watch is the 2:30 preview(Dawn of the Dead). Any help would be appreciated.

advance streaming format or something like that, GSpot will tell you which codec you need to play it prolly, or a mega codec pack should sort you out ;)

Don't download ASF / ASX / WMA / WMV, they usually have DRM up the ass.

Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V2 plays asf files through WMP (if you must download 'em!
If you haven't got this codec WMP ought to search and download it.

Try VideoLAN. Works For Me.
