can any cd drive play cdrw's
not all. some dont read certain brands of cd-rw, and i havent seen any drives older than 16x that can read cd-rw...although im sure there are some
As far as I know any cd drive you were to buy today would be able to play cd-rw's no problem
I know a few of the older ones can not though...
they still sell cd drives?

Most new computers come with a floppy, too...another puzzler.
I think floppy drives are still around for the soul purpose of the good ol boot disks...
yes that could be it. a lot of people (me included) still havent found a way to make a cd-rom bootdisk. I know its possible, and probably very easy, but im just too lasy to find out. Besides, with windows xp, and all future windows releases, bootdisks are completely unnecessary.Quote:
