Playstation 2's will play VCD's
ill admit it when im wrong rather than edit.
After looking into this further it looks as if you need to encode the files in MPEG-2 for them to play on the PS2.
If you google it you'll find loads of people asking this question with loads of different response's.
I have Series one of the simpsons on CD'R and it plays on my PS2. But I dont know what format it is encoded in and even using a program to tell me what format it is bring up no results.
Im pretty sure its MPEG-2.
