DVD to VCD-The Complete Guide
When I first got my DVD Burner I realised it was going to cost me a fortune in DVD-R’s so I thought I would see if it was possible to convert them to mpeg so I could then burn them to VCD. And with some help from the
K-Lite Board I can now do that.
So I thought I would make this guide to help everybody else who wants to convert.
Aldso check out these guides:
Easy VCD
KVCD Guide-Manual
I’ve made this as simple as possible so here it goes.
Hope this helps some people.
Some people have told me its easier to use DVD2SVCD but people have said that its to hard, wont work or poor quality.
If any of the pictures aren't clear just click on them.
You will need:
DVD-Rom
CD Writer
DVD Decrypter
DVD 2 AVI
Tmpgenc
VCD Burning Software (like Nero)
You can download the ones in blue from www.dvdrhelp.com/tools Pm me for a Tmpgenc Seriel
You can download Nero from Nero Home Pm me for a seriel
Step One:
Get all of the above
Step 2:
Insert the DVD you wish to convert into your drive and load up DVD Decrypter which should look like this:

Step 4:
You will now notice only a few of the files are selected (these are the main movie files) Now we need to choose where we are going to save our movie and then we are ready to Decrypt. (See Picture Below).

Success your mpeg is now made and ready to burn, however there may be one final step:
-
If the film you have made is over 74 or 80 minutes (depending on the maximum amount of time on your cd-r) you will need to split into 2 (or more) files.
To do this start up Tmpgenc and close the wizard if it appears.
Now select in File mpeg tools:

This screen will load up (below), click on Merge and Cut.
