What ? He asked, I answered... if he wanted to hear something else should have asked his question a bit more clearly.
No, its not there. You guys really think im that much of an idiot??? I was trying to configure my startup programs by going ot run>msconfig and when i hit enter, it says "Windows cannot find 'msconfig'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file"......etc. It is like i mistyped it or something, but i didnt. It's not recognizing it. And i would appreciate it if you guys just wouldnt assume i was an idiot. :) Thanks

check for a virus, if it cant be found you proberly have a virus..
It should be in C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\Binaries and a copy stored in C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386.
Try downloading it off the net or getting it from somone and putting it in the correct location on your system.
Try this.
Extract a New Copy of Msconfig.exe
Open a command prompt window. Insert your XP CD into the drive and enter the following command:
EXPAND -R X:\I386\MSCONFIG.EX_Z:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\BINARIES

There are some good programs that have start up utilities Like System Mec. , Regseeker is anouther good one . I would feel safer using them than msconfig. :)
