Been trying to configure my firewall to accept all incoming and outgoing traffic from my MP game but it's not really working :(
The exe of the game is set as "allowed",and i can start and open the gameserver list in my game. But whenever i try to connect to a gameserver it gives me the message "can't connect to server".
So i'm forced to close down the game and turn off my firewall because the traffic is being blocked <_<
Normally i really don't care that i have to turn of my firewall, but lately i'm getting a whole lot of portscans (about 1600 per day :o ).And that causes me to lag like hell on the server if i play with my firewall disabled.
It's not fun for me or the other players on that server,so i really need to find out how to configure my firewall so that my ping doesn't go through the roof when i'm playing.
Thanks

the number of portscans you have going there seems very excessive. :o
update and scan with spybot and adaware
Code:
www.safernetworking.org
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
after a reboot, download hijack this and scan/save a log. copy the contents here.
Code:

Yeah i know thze number of portscans is pretty high.
It has nothing to do with spy- or adware or any virus or whatever.
Think Winsockfix screwed it up a while back.
Had to restore my HOST file with it and after that it's like everyone that has the same ISP and IP range as me is trying to connect to my computer(or something like that.
I allready contacted my ISP for that to fix it for me.
But really...isn't there anyone here who could tell me how i have to configure my firewall for this?
Surely you don't all turn your firewall off when you play an onlinegame on your comp?
Maybe this should get moved to gameworld?
Mods, coulds you move this please?
