Sp2

Microsoft has decided to make SP2 available to ALL users of XP...pirated or not.
Unlike SP1, which had features that would prevent a pirated copy from downloading/installing, SP2 will available to all.

That was smart and dumb of them.
Smart for teh increased security, which is very important to fix their ruined reputation.
Dumb of them becuase SP1 not being able to install made a lot of people buy XP...fear of no future updates, and the important features included in SP1 were important as well. THey will now make less money, but being the richest person in teh world i don't think Bill Gates needs any more money. ;)

SP2 will not be able to install on systems that used pirated serials.

People too dumb not to get a keygen only have themselves to blame if they can't install the updates.

yeah, MS has said both. But the latest news I read said no....but they'll just do the same thing they did last time...
easy enough to circumvent.
