Top Shelfers

Ok I had to think about this, top shelf mags, these are not just porn like Fiesta, playboy etc, what about Nuts, Zoo, Bizzarre, FHM?
Now I ain't no prude, you all know me, but none of these mags have any age restriction on them, nor do the porn mags, yet a 10 y/o cannot buy Playboy, yet he/she can buy Bizzarre which not only has soft porn, but more importantly some sick stuff, pictures of injured people, a guy with a tree branch thru his chest for example, ok most 14 y/o boys would find this "Cool" but what about a 8 y/o?
they can buy them.

I don&#39;t recall many pop vids with oiled up topless girls snogging in a pool in it without a certificate :blink:

Besides, I&#39;m refering more to the content for really young kids, would you want your 10 y/o looking at a fresh car crash? or a woman who&#39;s just had her lips and ears cut off? a guy with his penis stitched to his belly button? Some of that stuff turns even my stomach and I&#39;ve seen some nasty shit believe me. I just think these mags should carry a warning, you post pics like that on here and see what happens :)

i think its healthy for kids to see some of that stuff. i dont mean go buy em some snuff movies but if you wrap em up in cotton wool, they&#39;ll freak when something bad actually happens.


about the pop-music thing, is it really that different if there nipples are covered and the camera cuts away at the last second? is it not worse when songs aimed at children are blatently about sex?

but in relation to magazines such as FHM, Loaded and Front, I&#39;m pretty pissed off that they are put on the top shelf to begin with. they&#39;re not pr0n, I like to read lad&#39;s mags because they&#39;re entertaining yet I have to endure the stares of the elderly when I remove them from the mucky section AND the oriental lady behind the counter insists on putting it into a brown paper bag despite my monthly protest :angry:

There&#39;s a major difference between wrapping in cotton wool and not letting them see disturbing pictures.

@Manker......They are on the top shelf so small children can&#39;t see them, this is my whole point, it&#39;s not just the sex stuff, it&#39;s more the drugs, and sick pics, seriously twisted (yet real funny) jokes, would you think it funny for a small boy to tell you a joke about 3 blones wanking in a restraunt, when the waitress asks them why, one replies "It said first cum first serve", Now I think thats a crap joke anyway and just a example, but there are some good ones too :D
