Well even if it was accidental he doesn't have any excuses. He isn't a teenager with an attention span of a goldfish. He was a person in a position of responsibility and should act in a more responsible manner.
The severity of this particular case probably isn't that great..... but it could have been.
He made a mistake and admitted it and is now facing the consequence.
It was correct that he "resigned" or was asked to from the Kerry Camp.
On the theories behind the events i fully expect that some political mischief will be made of it suggesting that the lost papers where somehow damaging to Clinton and the democratic party, therefore damaging to kerry, however i feel that just in the same way as Bush's lost military records it's nothing more that theoretical hot air.
