I need help with the SP-97, putting it on my CPU,

but how much Thermal paste is suppose to be applied to the heatsink base???
Only put a small amount of paste. Work it into the surface then wipe off the excess with a lint free cloth. One wipe.
The CPU should have a thin layer to cover the top of the die. Not wiped.
Thats what I did...but on the site it says LEAVE a thin layer on the heatsink...kinda wierdQuote:

everyone has their own ways of doing it. ;)
Arctic Silver III should be fine.
