Ive got one of the first ps2 that came out in the UK. (model SCPH30003) and am wondering what the best modchip to get for it is.
I know there are loads of different types, ones you have to solder in and ones you dont, ones which require discswapping etc.
Are there any which enable you to play VCDs, SVCDs, miniDVDs, or even Divx / Xvid ?
Also, if PS2 games come on DVD, how do they fit on a CDR (i dont have a DVD writer just yet :( )

I had heard about ps2reality, glad to hear that it works ok.
Does it play xvid movies aswell, as that seems to be the new standard for screeners????
What modchip do u use namzuf? And do you have to use a boot disc or do u boot up with ps2reality straight away?
EDIT: oh by the way, my ps2 definitley plays music cdrs
The newest version (1.25) will play XviD but not AC3 audio (thats in the works for the next version). It does has a few limitions in resoultion, but aside from that its good.
I have a V6 PS2 and use a no solder mod and Boot Magic V2 boot discs.
