requesting some tips to boost speed on my laptop

My secondary computer is an Intel Celeron laptop 2.4 ghz but it is pretty slow. So I decided to do somethings to it to speed it up in general, but when you try googling for ideas you get a bunch of crap software. Anyone got some good tips to speed up my boot time especially or other good programs or tips you know.


By the way I already went into msconfig and took out everything but my AV pretty much so I know that tip
