Well, told the kids about me and the bf tonight....son was completely fine, and positively supportive.....
but....
daughter went completely off on one....ho hum...(always the drama queen) :dry:
Still, a bit of a chat later, and she has promised to give him the full force of her sarcastic wit and charm....basically she will metaphorically eat him alive! :lol: Which means that she has regained her sense of humour and their friendship (which has always been a good one) can continue. phew....close call but I think a save that Seaman would have been proud of.... ;)

He doesn't have any kids, but I did suggest he move in by Christmas! And yes by the time I made that comment she was ready to tut at me and raise an eyebrow....a very good sign.... :lol: :lol:
And no he won't be...but it was funny at the time

Cheers manker....except they have to face each other tomorrow....bf has suggested a baileys glide (her favourite erm....tipple) as a bribe...she thought that was cool....so hopeful...;) .
I think her biggest concern was that he is a long term friend so the idea!!!!! OMG!!!

They are small, and she sips it nicely over the course of the evening.
I have a theory that if alcohol is not seen as a taboo, it is less likely to abused later....I am erring towards the continental approach....
Besides, she likes the taste :blushing:
